Movistar Yamaha MotoGP Jorge Lorenzo Says Marc Marquez Will Break Valentino Rossi’s Records

Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo has reckoned that Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez is going to beat Valentino Rossi’s records and become the all-time great MotoGP rider. Lorenzo has made this prediction after seeing Marquez’s success in the premier class racing. The 21-year Spaniard has made his debut in MotoGP during last year and managed to win the title in his rookie season. The young Marquez then started the 2014 Grand Prix season from where he left, as he went to win to opening 10 races. Before his teammate put halted his winning streak by winning the 11th round of the MotoGP at Brno, whereas Marquez ended up seizing the fourth place in the race.

Nevertheless, it seems that Brno’s result did not much effect Marc’s moral, as he still looks confident. In fact, in his recent meetings with the press he said that they had overcome the problem that they were facing with the bike and now they are positive. Perhaps that’s why Lorenzo is of the view that he can break Rossi’s record. However, Jorge also said that he can do so only if he does not get injured, if he continues to have a very strong machine like the one he possess now, if he continue to train like the way he is working out now and the keeps the motivation that he has now.

Lorenzo made this prediction while talking to the Australian Grand Prix podcast. The Yamaha rider also said that Marc is extremely talented and he is still not afraid of anything. According to Jorge Marquez has everything, as he is young, ambitious, talented and has a good team and good bike. Therefore, no doubt that Lorenzo has made a solid predication because Marquez a great track whether it’s MotoGP, Moto2 or 125cc category. The youngs man from Spain has won the title at least once in all three categories of racing and now he is eyeing to win his second MotoGP World Championship title.

Moreover, he has already set several new records. One of these records is winning the opening 10 races during a single season which had made him the all-time great rider. In addition, Marquez has won his MotoGP title when he was just 20 years old, whereas Rossi won his first top class title at the age of 21. The skilful racer also has a remarkable lead over Rossi in the 2014 overall standings, where he is comfortably sitting at the top with 263 points, which gave him a solid lead of 90 points over Valentino.
That’s not all Marquez also has another unusual edge over his rivals, which truly makes him a one of a kind of rider, as he is known for using the amount of kerb more than any other MotoGP rider from the current lot. The most surprising thing that Honda rider says is that sometimes, he gets better grip in the painted area as compared to the track. In contrast, his rivals do not have much faith in the kerbs. From this one can judge the level of skills this young boy possesses.

Just the way not every other MotoGP rider can match the skills of Marquez in the same way not every second motorcycle store in the UK can offer you high quality helmets, gears and accessories at cheap price as RiderWear can.

Cal Crutchlow Switching from One team to Another

The British MotoGP rider Cal Crutchlow is one of the premier class riders of this season, who had decided to part ways with his current team. According to Call it did not work out as he had originally planned it, so with mutual understanding Ducati and he decided to terminate the agreement. He also said that Ducati is pretty happy to have two fantastic riders, who will represent it in next season. On the other hand, he too got a good offer from LCR Honda so it was pretty straight forward for both the parties, said Crutchlow.

However, surprising thing was that Crutchlow had signed a two-year deal with Ducati in August 2013. And it took him just first nine rounds off 2014 MotoGP season to reach the decision that he would not be able to do well with Ducati. Nevertheless, Cal was not the first rider who decided to move away from Ducati. The experienced Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi also made a similar move, when he realized that he would not be able to win with Ducati. But as compared to Crutchlow, Rossi parted its ways with the Italian team after serving his full two-year contract with Ducati.

At this point in time Cal is at number 14 in the overall standings of the riders with 36 points and his best finish during this season was at sixth place. In contrast to him, his partner Andrea Dovizioso was able to achieve lot better results. After 11 rounds Dovizioso had earned 118 points, reached the podium on two occasions and secured fifth place in the standings. So the question arises why did not things work out so well for Cal? When, his teammate was able to put up a better performance with the similar kind of machine.

One notion is that Cal was not willing to change his riding style for Ducati, which he had improved after spending three long years and inspiring from Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo style. In response to his theory, Cal had said he made an effort to change his style, but instead of getting better things got even worse. The rider from the Great Britain said that initially he was resolute that he would not change his riding style, but still he had to make a slight change.

However, this change still has not worked for him, so he is of the view that the style he was using earlier was producing better results than now. When, he is trying to change his riding style. He also said that Ducati is quite good when it comes to braking zone, but unfortunately that is not his strongest point. So he said that definitely he had to make a change, but the way he likes to have the breaks to be is simply unsuitable for the bike. He added that though he had made slight change in style but honestly it’s not making much of a difference.

But you will certainly able to make a solid impression with the high performance motorbike helmets, gloves, gears and other accessories, if you have bought them from UK’s leading motorcycle store RiderWear.

Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo Believes Honda has ‘Found Something’ More This Year

Besides Marc Marquez’s excellent riding, Valentino Rossi believes that Honda has discovered something else with its RC213V machine in this year that has enabled it to increase the gap. The seven time world champion said that though they had improved their bike a little, but they still need to improve it in lots of other areas, Rossi said so because for him Honda was already quite fast during last year, but the gap between Marc’s machine and Yamaha was less at that time. This year they have ‘found something’ in the chassis as well as in the electronics that has increased the gap between their bikes, said Rossi.

Nevertheless, Valentino still believes that they not far, but they need work on some areas. He added that they always push Yamaha hard to make improvements. Also, it seemed to him that they put the rear tyre slightly under more stress as compared to Honda. Therefore, Rossi said that it always get tough for them to compete with Honda in the last phase of the race and also because Marquez rides extremely well.

Rossi’s teammate Jorge Lorenzo was also present on this occasion and he agreed with his partner by saying that his bike is now more stable to ride, more steady in acceleration and more easily maintains a constant pace till the last laps. However, it appears that Honda has something more, particularly in braking said Jorge. He added that they can hit the brake very late and can lean their bike in the corners very early. In contrast, Yamaha pair is unable to do that therefore Lorenzo said that they need to do a lot of work in that area in the future.

In spite of it, Jorge feels that they have some positive points too such as more speed in the corners. Unfortunately, that is not enough to give a tough fight to Honda on all occasions, said Lorenzo. However, the two-time MotoGP world champion believe that at Indianapolis he would have stayed with Marquez till the end if he did not apply the brakes so early. The young rider also said that Rossi over took Dovizioso, they made a contact as a result he lost a few seconds.

Lorenzo said that when he secured the second position they over took him once again, so if he would have maintained the second position probably he could have managed to stick with Marquez till the end because there was very little difference in their lap times. He said that if was not too aggressive at that point in time that is why he had finished a few seconds late than Marc.

At this stage, one cannot predict whether the two Yamaha riders will be able to give Marquez a tough time in Brno after learning from their mistakes. However, one thing is for sure that it’s not going to be easy for them to match with Marc, as the rider has already made a mark by leading all the riders in the opening practice session Czech Republic MotoGP.

Thanks to the private test that Honda conducted last month at Brno, as Marquez made good use of that information. This enabled the young Spaniard to once again cross the finish line before Lorenzo, teammate Dani Pedrosa, Aleix Espargaro and Rossi in the first free practice session at Brno.

You too can be a leader like Marquez if you stop compromising on quality because now RiderWear is offering high quality motorcycle helmets, gears, accessories and clothing at extremely low price.

Marc Marquez Says It’s So Difficult to Win All 18 Races

With every victory reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez is creating a new history. It can be judged from the fact that last Sunday he won his 10th Grand Prix in a row and equalled the record of former Repsol Honda Mick Doohan. The triumph at Indianapolis circuit also made Marquez the first rider after Giacomo Agostini (1970) to win opening 10 races in a season. As a result, more and more people are now talking about a perfect sweep in all 18 races and the latest addition to this list is none other than Doohan himself. The former great rider of Honda has said that it is highly likely that Marquez will create history by winning all the races of the 2014 season.
However, Marc himself does not believe that he could do it, as he said that it’s ‘so difficult’. The 21-year old Spaniard said during a press meeting when he was asked to summarize his success that every weekend he thinks that perhaps now the time has arrived that he would end up crossing the line in second or third place. Here is the time when I will struggle, but luckily with every race he is feeling more strong, said Marquez.

According to Marquez the most import thing is that he is enjoying it and as we have seen his team enjoy each victory as if it’s their first one, which keeps their concentration and motivation going. However, it’s very tough to win every round, said Marc. He also said that Both Yamaha riders were quite close to him in Indianapolis and next two tracks in Brno and Silverstone are the ones where they struggled during last year, whereas Yamaha was quite strong. Nevertheless, there first aim is to win the race obviously, said the Spanish sensation.

Marc is now just two wins away from equalling the all-time 12 victories record of Doohan during a season, which he set back in 1997. Considering all the uncertainties and in the light of conservative estimate one can say that there is a high probability that Marquez can break this record. So MotoGP fans are now excitedly waiting for the next rounds of the 2014 season.

As far as Marquez’s latest triumph is concerned, he won it in a familiar fashion. He got of to a slow start before capitalizing on his position and eventually making the move that allowed him to lead all the riders until he crossed the chequered flag.

Expressing his thoughts on the race, Marc said that the skirmish at the beginning was very thrilling and as always he did not get a good start. According to him the track had a very high temperature that changed his feeling regarding the front tyre. At that point in time, he said to himself let’s stay behind Valentino Rossi in the first ten laps of the race.

Then at lap 11 Marquez did what he is best at. He crafted a spontaneous move that put him in the lead right away. The Repsol Honda rider was looking to defend his second position from Jorge Lorenzo at one point in lap 11. However, in the next moment he went a little wide and outstripped both Lorenzo and Rossi in one go. After which the Spaniard never looked back and crossed the finish line well before the Yamaha pair, as he outshined them with a big margin of 1.8 sec.

Marquez has now earned a perfect 250 points with his 10th victory and he has further extended his championship lead over second positioned Dani Pedrosa, who had a slight off-day at Indianapolis. But you on the other hand will certainly have a great day, if you shop from UK’s leading motorcycle store RiderWear. That offers high performance products at extremely low prices.

Marc Marquez Hopes to Register His 10th Straight Victor This Weekend

The mid-season break in MotoGP is about to get over now, as the riders have already started gathering in Indianapolis, USA. That will host the 10th race of the 2014 season on this Sunday, Aug 10, 2014. Nearly all riders have taken the advantage of the break, as some have gone through different surgeries, while others took rest to recharge themselves for the rest of the season.

One of these riders is 21-year old Marc Marquez, who is the current MotoGP world champion and he has won all nine races in the first half of the season. Now the young Spaniard is looking to continue his perfect run by winning the 10th race in Indianapolis.

The Repsol Honda Team rider said on this Thursday that he has rested well and now he is eager to ride in the second half of the season at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway circuit. Marquez said that they had rested in the holidays one or more week but now they are all set to go in again. He also said that they are keen to ride again and to see the new layout of the Indianapolis circuit.

Marquez has already created a new history by becoming the youngest ever rider to win nine races in a row. That has enabled him to secure a perfect 225 points for his team and given him the number one position in the overall standings. Moreover, Marc has a solid lead of 77 points over the second position rider, Dani Pedrosa his teammate.

So now it has become almost impossible for any rider to snatch the number one position from Marquez during this season, even he fails to finish first in some the upcoming races. Still, his rivals are of the view that they need to stop him from winning so they can make themselves look little better.

As far as the changes in the Indianapolis circuit are concerned, riders will see some improvements in the track. These changes were made after last year’s race when the circuit was criticized for being too bumpy. Valentino Rossi, who has recently seen the Indy track said that there are big improvements, as lot of bumps are gone now and the surface is looking lot better than before. Unluckily, MotoGP US fans would be able to see their favourite home boy, Nicky Hayden, racing at this weekend, as he still in the recovery process after receiving surgical treatment on his wrist. Expressing his grief, Hayden said that the surgical treatment went well, but he is annoyed over missing the home race.

Valentino Rossi Says Upcoming Races Will Take Place on Tracks That are Difficult for Him

After a poor 2013 MotoGP season, Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s star rider Valentino Rossi made a staggering start in the 2014 season. In fact, the doctor was able to give a tough time to Repsol Honda Team riders Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, who are currently leading the overall standings chart. The Italian rider was able to finish second in Qatar, Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello and Catalunya in his quest to win the race. However, now in the second half of the 2014 season Rossi is heading to tracks, which according to him are ‘difficult’ for him.

One of these difficult tracks is Indianapolis that will host the next race of the 2014 season at this weekend. It was in 2008 when Rossi was able to reach the podium at Indianapolis as after that he was never able to reach the rostrum at the circuit.

Making this revelation the doctor said that the break was very crucial for him, as he was able to get some rest and rejuvenate himself for the second half of the 2014 MotoGP season in the best way. Adding to it, Rossi said that the upcoming races are going to be tough because they will take place on tracks that are difficult for him.

Valentino also admitted that Indianapolis is not his favourite track, but since its asphalt and layout has been changed, so he is interesting to see how it will go. The experienced rider said that they expect themselves to be competitive at Indianapolis and also in the rest of races of the second half of the season.

The entire infield of the Indianapolis circuit has been resurfaced, while slight changes have been made in turns 3, 4, 7, 15 and 16. So now it remains to be seen how Rossi will perform on this track in the upcoming race. Still one cannot completely rule him out of the contest because Valentino is the third best rider of this season with 141 points.

Although, he is 84 points behind current World Champion of MotoGP but there is just 7 points difference between Rossi and Pedrosa, who is enjoying second position in the standings. Moreover, the doctor is still the best rider of Yamaha, as he holds the all-time record of premier class starts for the Japanese manufacturer.

Another thing that gives Yamaha an edge is the Valentino’s teammate Jorge Lorenzo is also not a bad rider. In fact, Lorenzo has a good record at Indianapolis circuit, as till this day he has been able to reach the podium on five occasions. So one can say that Movistar Yamaha’s team is still very competitive and could give a tough run to their rivals at Indianapolis.

Just the way, you can say that RiderWear is an excellent motorcycle store in the UK, as it has stocked wide variety of clothing and accessories for bikers under one roof.

LCR Honda’s Boss Says They are Looking to Add Another Rider Along with Cal Crutchlow

The LCR Honda made it known on Sunday, Aug 3, 2014 that it has struck one year deal with current Ducati team rider Cal Crutchlow. This announcement confirmed that Cal will ride their Honda RC213V Factory machine in the 2015 season of MotoGP in new Team colours, as CWM is now the new sponsor of the team. However, now it seems that the 29-year old British rider would not be the only one who will ride the LCR machine in the next premier class racing season. According to the latest update, the CEO of the LCR Honda, Lucio Cecchinello has an intention to add another rider in the team.

Cecchinello made this revelation just one day after the announcement of their contract with Cal, while talking to MotoGP.com. The executive of the LCR said that the contract they had signed with Crutchlow is just for 2015 season. Then, they have an option to consider him for 2016 season, but it will be based on the results Cal will produce in the next season, said Lucio. Adding to it, he said that they also need to keep the HCR side in mind.

Lucio, who himself has remained a 125cc class rider and won grand prix on seven occasions, has said that they have an intention to use a Factory Option bike for Crutchlow. Then, there is also an Open specification machine, but they have not finalized any plan or rider thus far, said Cecchinello. The CEO said that it was their first priority to get a competitive rider and have a Factory Option machine because it was there new sponsor’s (CWM) desire.

Earlier, several reports had indicated that current Moto3 Wold Championship standing leader Jack Miller will most probably be the one, whom LCR may pick for its Open specification bike. However, Cecchinello said that they had certainly approached Miller, but he is not aware about the status of any negotiations between Honda and the Moto3 rider. He also said that it depends on HRC at which available positions it would place Miller.

LCR could be that possibility, but again it would be up to the people, who are involved, said Lucio. If LCR will be able to add a second rider to its MotoGP team then, it would be first time since its premier class racing debut in 2006 that Honda would be fielding two bikes.
