The ninth round of the Moto GP world championship will take place on this weekend in Germany with which the first half of the 2014 season will finally come to an end. As a result, there is a slight more pressure on all top riders because all of them want to do well in the last race of the first half. However, Valentino Rossi is an exception, as he is heading to the Sachsenringin a pretty relaxed mood. Owing to the fact that Movistar Yamaha Moto GP rider has recently signed a new two-year contract with his team that has secured his future in the premier class. Now Rossi will remain with Yamaha till the end of 2016 season.
Since the renewal of contract with Yamaha was very critical for him, so the 35-year old Rossi was quite happy while announcing the two-year deal with Yamaha during last week. Now that doctor has finally secured the contract so he can fully concentrate on racing and implement his plan to beat Marc Marquez in the upcoming rounds. Sharing his thoughts over new contract, Rossi recently said that he is extremely glad to go to Germany after inking a new two year deal with Yamaha. The experienced rider said that he was saying that soon they will reach a deal and finally it had happened.
According to Rossi the renewal of contract was very important for him therefore he is very pleased. Adding to it, Valentino said that they did well in Assen but they will try to do even better in Sachsenring. Commenting on the track in Germany, Rossi said that he likes it, but it’s not an easy track at all, as it is quite small and complicated. Shedding more light on the circuit in Sachsenring, the veteran rider said that last couple of years on this track were not bad, particularly with Yamaha. Still there is something strange and different about the track, but it feels nice to race in a Grand Prix there.
On this occasion Rossi did not forget to talk about the tricky weather in Germany, as he indicated that they can face tough weather conditions in the country. Therefore, they expect that they will get good weather conditions in Germany so that they can have a good result. However, unlike his Repsol Honda rival Marquez, Valentino had not tasted a victory in Germany in the past four seasons. The doctor won his last race in this part of Europe back in 2009, when he guided his team to victory while his partner Jorge Lorenzo finished second.
