Lorenzo Puts a Leash on His Bashers by Finishing Third in Argentina

After failing to show a solid performance in the first two rounds of the Grand Prix, Movie star Yamaha MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo finally managed to reach the podium for the first time in 2014 season. On this occasion, the Spanish rider acknowledged that it was the sweetest third position he had gained in his entire career. Indeed it was a sweet achievement for Lorenzo, considering the fact that the rider got crashed out of the competition in opening race at Qatar and then he received jump start penalty in Austin after which he failed to gain momentum. However, Lorenzo did not lose hope, as before competing at de la Republica Argentina the Movie star Yamaha rider said that he is positive that they can turn the table around in the third round and that’s exactly what he did.

Lorenzo’s trademark start at de la Republica Argentina showed that he knows how to stay positive even when things are not going in his favor. In fact, it was his inspiring early lap time that enabled him to lead all the riders, including Marc Marquez and teammate Dani Pedrosa till first 16 laps. After which Marquez snatched the lead from him by showing impressive pace and focus. Lorenzo then remained in the second position until penultimate lap when Pedrosa outsmart him and clinched the second spot. It was then tired Lorenzo decided to finish the race in third place instead of fighting for the second spot with Pedrosa.

Lorenzo said after the race that many journalists criticized him on his previous two performances, which he did not deserve.

The 26-year old rider admitted that he did made some mistakes in the previous rounds, but he had some excellent races during the past year and he had showed again that even when they are not in the best of the shape they still managed to give Honda a good run. The Yamaha rider also said that they will keep pushing themselves in the upcoming rounds and when their moment will come they will be ready to win races.

Lorenzo’s teammate Valentino Rossi, on the other hand, missed the podium once again, as he confessed that he made mistake in the first lap which forced him fall back. Although, Rossi managed to bounce back in the race and finished fourth, but he said that he lost the podium due to Stefan Bradl’s mistake.

According to Rossi, Bradl arrived too deep with braking, which forced him out of the track and he missed two valuable seconds. Now it remains to be seen whether Rossi will be able to reach the podium in the fourth round when riders will gather at Jerez on next weekend.

Who Will Catch Marc Marquez at de la Republica Argentina?

The third round of MotoGP is drawing near and with it everyone is just raising one question, whose going to catch Repsol Honda Team’s star rider Marc Marquez in the inaugural Grand Prix race at de laRepublica Argentina. The question is absolutely valid, as Marquez made a belligerent start to the 2014 Grand Prix season, first by winning the opening race in Qatar and then showed his dominance in Austin too. Now the youngest MotoGP World Champion is looking to win his third consecutive race when the riders will once again gather in South America, where Grand Prix is taking place after a long break. This makes de la Republica Argentina circuit a new challenge for all the ridersand so far Marquez has remained the best when it comes to adapting the new conditions and layout.

More importantly, the pace that Marquez had shown till now is unmatchable. In addition to the pace, the 21-year old Spanish rider has also set the bar higher for his competitors by using hard Bridgestone tyres, as Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s Valentino Rossi and Gresini Honda’s Scott Redding badly destroyed their front tyres in Austin, Texas which cost them the race. Therefore, Marc is rated as the best contender in MotoGP’s current season because even his teammate Dani Pedrosa, who finished second at Circuits of The Americas, was also not able to surpass him. Rossi, who had a tough fight with Marquez back in Qatar for number one position finished 10 in Austin, as he was struggling throughout the race.

However, at the mid stage of the race Valentino looked quite threatening as he reached right behind Andrea Iannone of Pramac Ducati, who was at number three position at that time. Unfortunately, issue with the front tyre forced Rossi to fall back. Therefore, Rossi is still considered as the top rider who can give Marquez a tough time in Argentina, if he manages to get rid of technical issues with his bike.

Valentino’s teammate Jorge Lorenzo, on the other hand, so far not able to impress his team and fans, as in Qatar crashed his bike after leading all the riders after a short while, whereas at COTA he received a penalty for jump start. So, it is less likely that Lorenzo will give Marc a good run in the upcoming round.
In contrast to Lorenzo, Ducati Team’s Andrea Dovizioso has a better chance of making to the podium once again in Argentina, but it remains to be seen whether he will be able to outstrip Marquez. It will depend on how Dovizioso will adapt to the new layout and conditions. On the whole, at this point in time apart from Rossi there is no real competitor that looks to give Marquez a tough time in the next round.

Nicky Hayden and Colin Edwards Looking to Give Better Performance at COTA

Nicky Hayden and Colin Edwards are excited about the second round of 2014 World Championship Grand Prix, as this time the two American riders will get to race on their home soil at the Circuits of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Both riders had a good start in the opening race of MotoGP, as Hayden was able to finish 8th on his DRIVE M7 Aspar Honda, while Edwards was able to seize 9th place in Qatar by scoring solid points on his NGM Forward Racing Yamaha. Now Hayden and Edwards are looking to make the most of the home track in order to improve their ranks when the second round of the Grand Prix will begin on this weekend.

Recently Hayden has given an interview in which he said that taking part in Grand Prix at home has always remained very special for him as he has strong fan following in Austin, so he is eager to get back on the track. Praising the track in Austin, the 32 year old rider said that it’s a fantastic facility that is long, wide and safe to ride. However, he admitted that last year he was not able to do well at the Circuits of the Americas, as he failed to ride fast, particularly in the first half.

Nevertheless, Hayden said this year he is looking to change it in spite of the fact that he knows it will not be easy for him to pass through those corners at high speed, but the changes in the direction suits him and his bike well. Therefore, Nicky said that he is quite hopeful that he will make his fans at home proud by producing good result. So, MotoGP fans that are looking to celebrate the next round of the Grand Prix by buying a new accessory, should visit the online store of RiderWear and buy a product at discounted rate.

On the other hand, sharing his first experience of riding at the Circuits of the Americas, 40 year old Edwards said in his latest interview with MotoGP that the only facility which he thinks is close to this circuit is in Shanghai, China where he rode in 2006 or 2007 and it was pretty big. He said that it was his first experience to see how big a race track can be built and the Circuits of the Americas was exactly the same.

The veteran rider said that Austin is his backyard, so he is happy to come and race here, as it’s a great facility. However, alike Nicky, Edwards was too not able to make the home crowd proud of his performance when he raced at the COTA in last season where he failed to even finish the race. Now, Edwards is looking to put up a good show, when he will race at the circuit on this weekend.
This will be the first of the two visits that Grand Prix riders will make to the United States, as the racers will return to the country for the second time in August to show their pace and skills at Indianapolis circuit.

Valentino Rossi Eager to Race in Austin Circuit

Last year when Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s star rider Valentino Rossi rode the bike in the Circuits of The Americas (COTA), he managed to finish at sixth position, five ranks behind Marcus Marquez, who won his first race of 2013 season. However, this year Rossi is looking to change that as he had a terrific start in the opening race of the 2014 season.

The veteran rider started from 10th on the grid in Qatar, but soon he was able to exceed past all the riders to have a tough fight with Marquez for the first position. Unfortunately, Rossi missed the first spot by just 0.259 seconds and managed to seize the second step on the podium. Nevertheless, Rossi was pretty pleased with his performance and now he is looking to improve his position in Austin, Texas on this weekend.
Rossi, who had a wonderful time with legendary footballer Cafu in Brazil the other day said in his recent interview that he is really eager to go to COTA especially after achieving competitiveness in Qatar. Valentino said that he had a very poor race in Austin the last time he rode in Texas, so this year he wants to assess whether he is still competitive everywhere.

More importantly, a good result in the COTA would mean a lot to him and his team, said Rossi while mentioning the reason behind his keenness to race in Austin. Adding to it, the nine-time MotoGP World Champion said that an encouraging result would also mean that the route they have chosen is right. The Yamaha rider also said that he will try to be as competitive as possible when he will race in the Austin circuit, but he also like to enjoy the competition like he did in Qatar.

So, do not waste a single second in getting a quality motorcycle gear and helmet from RiderWear that only keep products which offer great value for money.

On the other hand, Rossi’s partner Jorge Lorenzo, who crashed out of the race in Qatar after leading all the riders in the start, will be looking repeat his last year’s performance in COTA, as he finished third in Texas during 2013 season. Lorenzo said that he will look to give good result in the upcoming round and try to forget the past as soon as possible.

Talking about the COTA Lorenzo said that it did not prove an easy track for them during last year because they faced numerous difficulties when it came to grip and adapting their bike according to the track. Eventually, they were able to figure a way out to deal with these problems they were able to give good result by finishing just three seconds behind the victorious rider, said Lorenzo.

Adding to it, Lorenzo said that this year he thinks that pace could be way better than the last year as his current bike is more seamless and its chassis are also pretty decent. More importantly the 26 year rider said that he is feeling 100 percent fit, which is quit important for any rider in order to compete for the first place.

Valentino Rossi Makes One-Day Stop in Brazil to Play Soccer and Ride R1 with Cafù

The second round of the 2014 MotoGP is starting in a few days’ time, but instead of practicing or resting the star rider of Movistar Yamaha MotoGP, Valentino Rossi went on a short tour of Brazil on Tuesday, April 8th.Though, Rossi’s tour last for one day only, but the nine-time world champion of MotoGP made sure that it must count. Therefore, the hectic schedule of 35 year old rider started the moment he landed in Sao Paulo at 4:30am in the morning. This was not the first time that Rossi has made a trip to Brazil, as the rider visited the country exactly one year ago to mesmerize South America with MotoGP’s magic.

A special delegationof Yamaha Motor de Brazil greeted Valentino upon his arrival at the airport after which he left for his hotel. Once the MotoGP hero got himself freshen up, he was set to start the busy schedule, which began with a Playboy magazine interview in which he talked about Yamaha, racing and particularly about the latest T-Max scooter. The three stars then jumped on Yamaha YZF-R1s to ride together on the racetrack and experience some high speed thrill before they had a quick soccer game. The Italian rider did not get any time to rest after that as he left Cafù and Mello with the football and joined legendary motorcycle road racer Alex Barros to give an interview for popular TV show, Linha de Chegada.
After getting free from the TV interview, Rossi took a quick lunch break to savour the delicious food of Brazil.

Once Valentino was done with the meal, the rider again got busy with this hectic schedule, as he gave another interview for the MotoGPSporTV Channel of TV Globo before having a group interview with 16 chosen journalists. The Movistar Yamaha rider did not get any time after getting free from the interviews, as he immediately head back to the hotel where he met with the winners of a social contest and selected dealers of Yamaha after having a signing session.

Just as this meeting and greeting was over, Rossi’s one-day tour of Brazil came to an end as he was transported back to the airport where a plane was ready to take him to Austin, Texas. In spite of a hectic schedule, Rossi enjoyed his short stay in Brazil, as he said at the end of his trip that he always gets the special feelings whenever he visits the country.

The MotoGP rider also said that Brazilian fans have always surprised him because they have great love for him and Grand Prix. Rossi also had a great time with Cafù as he thoroughly enjoyed his time with him while playing soccer and on the R1s. In the end, Valentino thanked Yamaha Motor de Brazil for organizing such a wonderful and memorable trip.

Marc Marquez Says He is Feeling More Confident Than Last Year

The Circuits of the Americas in Austin, Texas will be the next battle field for MotoGP riders, as the second round of the World Championship Grand Prix will take place on the US soil. Most of the riders are pretty anxious about the next round because as the motorcycle racing season progresses it will get more intense only.

However, the current World Champion of MotoGP, Marc Marquez is having completely different feelings in contrast to most of his fellow competitors, as he recently said in his interview that he is feeling more relaxed before getting on a Grand Prix. This is a dangerous sign for his rivals, especially Valentino Rossi, who already had a tough fight with in Qatar.

The Repsol Honda Team’s young rider shared this thought while talking to MotoGP.com. The 21 year old rider also said during the interview that this year there is big difference than what he was feeling last year before going into the MotoGP circuit.

Shedding more light on his statement Marquez said that he is feeling the difference because after one year he has gained more experience and obviously, after winning the title his confidence level has also boost up. Adding to it, Marc said that last year he had few questions in his mind before going to a circuit like whether I can adapt according to the track or whether it’s going to be easy or difficult.

However, this season, last year’s experience will come handy because now he has a little idea about the circuits, said Marquez. Due to this reason, the Spaniard said he is feeling more comfortable, particularly before embarking on a MotoGP race.

Particularly, because it was at the awards where he got to meet with the legends of the Grand Prix and it was a pleasure for him to be among them and receiving the award from them was even more incredible, said Marquez.

The two greats of MotoGP, Giacomo Agostini and Mick Doohan were also present at the Laureus awards, whose records are not that easy to beat for any rider. Still, many think that Marquez has the capability to beat their records. In spite of the hype created by such people, Marquez is not getting carried away because according to him Agostini, Doohan are the legends of the MotoGP and they had a wonderful career, so he will also look to do the same, but it ia not be possible.

For the reason that today rider’s mentality is to focus on one season only and they have no plans regarding the next seasons so each year they take action after gauging the situation, said Marc.

Valentino Rossi says He will Renew His Contract With Yamaha in 2015

Before the start of 2014 MotoGP, Yamaha’s star rider Valentino Rossi said on number of occasions that his performance in the initial round of the current season would be the key in determining whether he would continue his career as a Grand Prix rider.

However, now it seems that the Italian stallion has already reached a decision just after the first round of the MotoGP, as sharing his 2015 plans with Sky, Rossi said that he think that he will renew his contract with Yamaha. The Movie star Yamaha MotoGP rider also said that he was never thinking about quitting the job.

This new statement from Rossi will give his fans a huge sigh of relief, as perhaps they too did not want him to quit at this stage. Especially, after Italian rider gave current World Champion Marc Marquez a good run in the opening race of 2014 season in Qatar. The Italian said that he had ridden at good level during his entire career, but now it’s getting more challenging. Therefore, he said that they need to be more competitive because winning the World Championship again is not going to be an easy task, but if the he manages to remain at the front on every Sunday it will be good.

National BikeSafe Show And Track Experience

Winter is about to an end, as temperature has started surging up but this is not going to affect the mood of motorcycle event organisers because lot of such shows will take place across the United Kingdom during this year. One of these top motorcycle events is National BikeSafe Show and Track Experience that is going to take place on Saturday, April 12th. Usually majority of the motorcycle events are organised by bike enthusiasts.

However, BikeSafe Show is one of the rare events in the world that is led by local police force in order to reduce the number of bikers which get hurt on the roads. According to the organisers, riding could be a delightful experience if bikers improve their knowledge, skills and awareness regarding danger as they will be able to enjoy a safe journey.

Therefore, to identify the issues bikers are facing now a day’s BikeSafe has setup a workshop that explores the problems. The workshop also uses on-road elements to identify the rules of advanced riding. Moreover, the BikeSafe Observer gives feedback and opinion that will signify the areas where a biker needs to improve. Just alike BikeSafe, RiderWear also wants riders to be safe on the road by opting for the quality personal protective equipment available at its store and online shop. If you want to take advantage of this amazing bike show, then Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire, UK is the place where you should be heading on April 12th, as 2014’s National BikeSafe show, is going to held on this venue.

At the event, guests will get to observe an hour long ride with an advanced police rider, after which they will get the chance to enjoy a 15 minute ride round the Castle Combe circuit on their own bike. It is because of this amazing experience the BikeSafe show has remained quite successful in the past, as it has been able to pull a huge crowd of motorcycle enthusiasts every year.

However, BikeSafe is not alone in this mission, as world’s leading motorcycle manufacturer Ducati is also accompanying them to endorse motorcycle safety. In fact, Ducati has provided two of its unique bikes, a custom Police Diavel and a custom Police Panogale. The two bikes have already been used at the workshops of BikeSafe and this year machines can also be seen in the Paddock at MotoGP’s Silverstone circuit in the near future.

The BikeSafe show is a great initiative and highlights the safety of bikers on the road therefore every passionate biker should actively support it and also take part in it along with their friends or family members.
