Lorenzo Puts a Leash on His Bashers by Finishing Third in Argentina

After failing to show a solid performance in the first two rounds of the Grand Prix, Movie star Yamaha MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo finally managed to reach the podium for the first time in 2014 season. On this occasion, the Spanish rider acknowledged that it was the sweetest third position he had gained in his entire career. Indeed it was a sweet achievement for Lorenzo, considering the fact that the rider got crashed out of the competition in opening race at Qatar and then he received jump start penalty in Austin after which he failed to gain momentum. However, Lorenzo did not lose hope, as before competing at de la Republica Argentina the Movie star Yamaha rider said that he is positive that they can turn the table around in the third round and that’s exactly what he did.

Lorenzo’s trademark start at de la Republica Argentina showed that he knows how to stay positive even when things are not going in his favor. In fact, it was his inspiring early lap time that enabled him to lead all the riders, including Marc Marquez and teammate Dani Pedrosa till first 16 laps. After which Marquez snatched the lead from him by showing impressive pace and focus. Lorenzo then remained in the second position until penultimate lap when Pedrosa outsmart him and clinched the second spot. It was then tired Lorenzo decided to finish the race in third place instead of fighting for the second spot with Pedrosa.

Lorenzo said after the race that many journalists criticized him on his previous two performances, which he did not deserve.

The 26-year old rider admitted that he did made some mistakes in the previous rounds, but he had some excellent races during the past year and he had showed again that even when they are not in the best of the shape they still managed to give Honda a good run. The Yamaha rider also said that they will keep pushing themselves in the upcoming rounds and when their moment will come they will be ready to win races.

Lorenzo’s teammate Valentino Rossi, on the other hand, missed the podium once again, as he confessed that he made mistake in the first lap which forced him fall back. Although, Rossi managed to bounce back in the race and finished fourth, but he said that he lost the podium due to Stefan Bradl’s mistake.

According to Rossi, Bradl arrived too deep with braking, which forced him out of the track and he missed two valuable seconds. Now it remains to be seen whether Rossi will be able to reach the podium in the fourth round when riders will gather at Jerez on next weekend.
