Valentino Rossi Makes One-Day Stop in Brazil to Play Soccer and Ride R1 with Cafù

The second round of the 2014 MotoGP is starting in a few days’ time, but instead of practicing or resting the star rider of Movistar Yamaha MotoGP, Valentino Rossi went on a short tour of Brazil on Tuesday, April 8th.Though, Rossi’s tour last for one day only, but the nine-time world champion of MotoGP made sure that it must count. Therefore, the hectic schedule of 35 year old rider started the moment he landed in Sao Paulo at 4:30am in the morning. This was not the first time that Rossi has made a trip to Brazil, as the rider visited the country exactly one year ago to mesmerize South America with MotoGP’s magic.

A special delegationof Yamaha Motor de Brazil greeted Valentino upon his arrival at the airport after which he left for his hotel. Once the MotoGP hero got himself freshen up, he was set to start the busy schedule, which began with a Playboy magazine interview in which he talked about Yamaha, racing and particularly about the latest T-Max scooter. Following the interview, a short signing session took place after which Rossi head for the next activity. However, bikers should not forget to wear their protective gear and helmet the next time they head out on their motorcyclesbecause safety comes first.

The next stop for Rossi was Fazenda Capuava that is an excellent private racetrack located in the middle of the countryside. Here legendary Brazilian footballer, Cafù and Leandro Mello of TV Globo were already waiting for Valentino. The three stars then jumped on Yamaha YZF-R1s to ride together on the racetrack and experience some high speed thrill before they had a quick soccer game. The Italian rider did not get any time to rest after that as he left Cafù and Mello with the football and joined legendary motorcycle road racer Alex Barros to give an interview for popular TV show, Linha de Chegada.
After getting free from the TV interview, Rossi took a quick lunch break to savour the delicious food of Brazil.

Once Valentino was done with the meal, the rider again got busy with this hectic schedule, as he gave another interview for the MotoGPSporTV Channel of TV Globo before having a group interview with 16 chosen journalists. The Movistar Yamaha rider did not get any time after getting free from the interviews, as he immediately head back to the hotel where he met with the winners of a social contest and selected dealers of Yamaha after having a signing session.

Just as this meeting and greeting was over, Rossi’s one-day tour of Brazil came to an end as he was transported back to the airport where a plane was ready to take him to Austin, Texas. In spite of a hectic schedule, Rossi enjoyed his short stay in Brazil, as he said at the end of his trip that he always gets the special feelings whenever he visits the country.

The MotoGP rider also said that Brazilian fans have always surprised him because they have great love for him and Grand Prix. Rossi also had a great time with Cafù as he thoroughly enjoyed his time with him while playing soccer and on the R1s. In the end, Valentino thanked Yamaha Motor de Brazil for organizing such a wonderful and memorable trip.
