The Best Race of 2014 MotoGP So Far

To date four rounds of 2014 MotoGP have been concluded and Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez, the reigning World Champion, has remained victorious in all of them. All four races of the season remained pretty exciting, but for some they were little boring, as according to them Marquez clearly dominated the riders in these competitions. Whereas, others believe that each race of the season was full of action and surprises, as they get to see numerous crashes and some stirring moves. For instance, riders like Andrea Dovizioso of Ducati Team and Stefan Bradlof LCR Honda MotoGP showed some tremendous skills to end up in the top five riders in two of the four races.

Moreover, this year competition is more tough than last year, as several riders had already admitted it. In fact,Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo are two prominent examples in this regard. The duo had to really work hard to finish as front leaders in the 2014 Grand Prix races. Besides this, MotoGP fans also get to see some great skirmishes between riders to take the lead. The first of these battles was seen in the opening race in Qatar when Marquez and Rossi fought hard with each other to gain the lead. Marc won that battle as he outstripped Rossi in the penultimate lap to seize his first victory of the season.

The second race of the season then took place at the Circuits of The Americas (COTA), Austin, Texas, which was more like a one sided affair, as Marquez won the contention without any problem. His top rival Rossi finished eighth in Austin, as he faced some technical issue with this bike. The MotoGP riders then flew to Argentina to take part in the third round of the World Championship. Since the track and conditions were new for most of the riders, so it proved a pretty challenging race for even top leaders. Given that Marquez did not get a good start and he got stuck in the crowd, which forced him to fall as low as seventh.

Yamaha’s Lorenzo, on the other hand, got a great start and he guided all the riders in most part of the race. Before Marquez finally demonstrated his skills and fought his way up from seventh to snatch the lead Jorge in lap 12. Following the footsteps of his teammate Honda’s other rider DaniPedrosa also made the charge and reached right behind Lorenzo to begin the battle for second place. The skirmish between the two dynamic riders brought the fans to the edge of their seats, as fight between them continued till the penultimate lap. It is at that point in time Pedrosa got the chance to outclass tired Lorenzo to finish second after Marquez.

The fourth round of the MotoGP brought the smiles back on the faces of Rossi’s fans, as the veteran rider finished second. However, as usual Rossi, Lorenzo and Pedrosa failed to catch Marquez, who registered his fourth victory in a row to become the first rider after MickDoohan, who has won first four races of the MotoGP. Pedrosa secured third, Lorenzo remained fourth, while Dovizioso seized fifth spot in that competition.

Overall, 2014 season proved an absolute delight for the fans, but it is yet to be determined, which of the four races was the best. As far as I am concerned, competition in Argentina was the best of all. Just as the motorcycle gears, helmets, boots, gloves and other accessories of RiderWear are finest of all.
